Design Simply!
"A mass market exists for the mobile Internet, but it will remain untapped until designers make simpler Web pages that can be viewed properly on handsets"
This is just a quick extract from a very smart article by Daniel Frykholm.
It is really difficult to explain to your client that the flashy ideas he has for his site are going to harm it more than help. But if we think that 75% of all Internet accesses in the near future will come from non-PC devices I think it's time to sit up and take interoperable design seriously.
Stabdards based XHTML and clean and simple design are a first step in the right direction. Or offer different style sheets for the user to choose his preferred, or funtional view style.
